Lead & Associate After School Educators

Hiring Lead Educators and Associate Educators for after school Visual Arts classes in Berkeley, Moraga, Hayward, Palo Alto, and Menlo Park. Each position is 2-3 hours a week. Contracts are January-March with the opportunity for extension.


Berkeley: 2:50-4:35 Fridays, Lead Educator

Moraga [SU], 2:45-4:45 Thursdays, Lead Educator

Hayward [SU], 3:15-6:00 Thursdays, Lead Educator

San Mateo: 3:00-5:00 Fridays, Associate Educator

Menlo Park: 2:10-5:10 Wednesdays, Lead Educator

Palo Alto: 3:30-5:30 Tuesdays & Thursdays, Lead Educator

Mountain View: 4:00-6:30 Tuesdays, Lead Educator (Drawing & Comic experience required, teen class).

Who we are:


A-Z Creativity LLC is an arts education organization that specializes in fostering intentional creativity in children through engagement and exploration in the visual arts. Our classes build confidence and inspire children by intentionally teaching material skills and creating an environment that allows for open-ended exploration and problem solving.


Responsibilities Include:

-Maintaining material bin (stored on-site or at a nearby storage unit indicated by [SU] in the posting)

-Teaching pre-written open-ended visual arts curriculum to children ages 3-4 and/or 5-9, unless otherwise specified.

-Maintaining child safety and classroom management


Requirements:

-Be able to pass a background check & TB test

-Experience working with children

-Ability to lift 35 lbs, stand and walk for 2 hours, bend, kneel, sit, or crouch.


What we provide:

-Materials and supplies

-Short videos on technical instruction/ demonstrations to equip you, the teacher, with the knowledge you need to be successful

-Guided curriculum that scaffolds student learning while allowing for choice

-Flexibility within the curriculum that allows you to make decisions that are best for the students and the class.


Pay is commensurate with experience, ranging from $35-$45/hour for Leads & $25-$35/hour for Associates. 


The interviewing process entails a 15 minute phone interview followed by a 30-45 minute in-person interview and reference check. Thank you.

Winter Break 2026 Visual Arts Camp Counselors

Various locations across the Bay Area (peninsula, east bay), February 17-20.

We are looking for Lead and Support Counselor for this position.


Lead Counselors
-18+ Has experience working with kids and teaching experience leading a group of children

-Has experience interfacing with parents, problem solving, and following safety protocols


Support Counselors
-18+ Would like/has experience working with kids and would like to gain teaching experience


Job Requirements:
-Be able to pass a background check & current TB Test within 2 years
-Have/want experience working with children
-Like visual art & want to learn more about teaching art to children
-Ability to stand for extended periods of time, crouch, kneel, and sit, and lift 35 lbs.


Training:
2-4 hours of virtual paid training is included with all counselor positions, position dependent.

-Guided curriculum that scaffolds student learning while allowing for choice

-Flexibility within the curriculum that allows you to make decisions that are best for the students and the camp.


Compensation is commensurate with experience and position.

Lead Counselors: $30
Support Counselors: $22.50-$25


*Must be able to work the full duration of camp to be considered for this position.

This is a W-2 position and non-benefited. All individuals will need access to transportation to reach the camp sites. Working hours are 8:30-4:30 (RWC) & 8:30-3:30 (Santa Clara), on site and in person.
