Young makers will learn the basics of hand sewing through playful, creative projects designed just for beginners. From threading a needle to mastering simple stitches, students will build foundational skills while creating felt animals, tiny pillows, and other soft treasures. Along the way, we’ll explore colorful buttons, appliqué, and embellishments, helping children grow confidence with each new project. No prior experience needed—just enthusiasm and curiosity!

For students with some sewing experience, this class dives deeper into textile art, design thinking, and construction skills. Campers will refine their stitch techniques, learn how to follow patterns, and experiment with more complex projects like plush characters, wearable accessories, or small bags. We'll explore fabric layering, decorative embroidery, and 3D construction, encouraging each artist to bring their ideas to life with originality and precision.

In this course, participants will first gain explorational experience in a variety of sculpture materials and processes including recycled sculpture, soft sculpture, wire sculpture, and air-dry clay. Your child will learn about artists who employ these techniques and have opportunities to experiment and combine processes to make art that is meaningful to them. The open ended format of this class allows your child to build concrete knowledge and skills while employing creativity as they problem solve, ideate, and imagine! Suitable for children aged 5-9.

Beads, wires, charms, and more! In this jewelry class, your child will learn concrete techniques and skills for making different types of jewelry in a variety of materials. Your child will learn and practice steps of the design process, allowing them to take their knowledge and fuse it with creativity to make one-of-a-kind jewelry that is as unique as they are.  Suitable for children aged 5-9.

In this course, your child will learn all about stop motion animation! They will learn different methods of planning and executing their films and have the opportunity to share their masterpieces with their classmates. This course scaffolds learning so that students master basic concepts before moving on to diverse techniques to make their films as unique as they are! Students will also use different materials to create their masterpieces, letting their creativity flourish! The course is designed to be open-ended while teaching concrete techniques, allowing your child to problem-solve, find their director's voice, and showcase their passions. Suitable for children aged 7-11.

Stitches, patterns, embellishments, and sewing machines - learn it all! In this intro to sewing class. Participants will learn hand sewing basics, making stuffies and accessories and graduating on to making their own patterns. Students will have the opportunity to try sewing on a machine, learning the strengths and limitations of different sewing processes. This class is designed to teach concrete skills while allowing space for child-led decision making, embracing problem solving and finding to allow your child's creativity to flourish.  Suitable for children aged 7-11.

In this hands-on class, children will design and build their own tiny creations using air-dry and polymer clay, colorful paints, and mixed materials. Each day offers new opportunities to experiment, imagine, and bring small-scale ideas to life. Color Lab: Where Art Meets Experimentation invites young artists to dive into the vibrant world of colors through hands-on discovery. In this playful and creative course, children will explore the science of color mixing, uncover natural sources of pigmentation, and learn how artists use colors to tell stories and evoke emotions. From learning the basics with slime, to exploring fabric dyeing processes, to painting and collage, each session incorporates scientific knowledge of how colors work and pairs this knowledge with interactive exploration and hands on making to spark curiosity and creativity.
